The Fluvanna Chamber of Commerce is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of eleven people, elected by the membership to serve staggered three year terms. The elections coincide with the annual membership meeting held in November. Upon completion of the board elections each year, the Board selects officers, with one-year terms. The Officers form the Executive Committee.
Most of the activities of the Chamber are generated through the efforts of the standing committees. Current standing committees include the Visibility Committee, Membership Committee, Guide Committee, Special Events Committee, Nomination Committee and Scholarships and Awards Committee. Ad hoc and special committees are named as needed.
The Chamber has open monthly meetings to discuss the business of the Chamber and current activities of committees. While there are some Board votes taken during the meetings, all members and guests are encouraged to attend.
The Chamber employs an Administrative Assistant, who oversees the running of the Chamber office. The Administrative Assistant reports to the President and Executive Committee.

The office is located on Court Square in Palmyra, across from the old courthouse. Normal business hours are 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. Tammy Grigg is the Administrative Assistant and she is anxious to help any and all businesses and residents. Non-member businesses that stop in to see Tammy, should expect some encouragement to join the Chamber. Tammy has become well versed in the local resources that allow her to re-direct your request or provide a wide variety of information about Fluvanna County.
