about us MISSION STATMENT 
Chamber Committees

Chamber Guide Committee - arranges the annual production and publication of the "Guide to Fluvanna County". The Guide is a directory of Chamber members. It also provides a handy resource for information about the county and organizations within the county. It is an opportunity for advertising with longevity. Current print runs are 5000 to 5500 copies. The Guide Committee is responsible for content, layout, advertising, and distribution of the guides.

Visibility Committee - is charged with generating greater visibility for the Chamber and its members. The newest of the standing committees, the Visibility Committee is the idea group. They are working on a monthly "Chamber Corner" column in the local media. They have promoted "Business After Hours" events. Their list of projects is greater than their resources to investigate and promote each one.

Membership Committee - is charged with courting new and prospective members. They also become involved with many membership issues, development of new benefits, and production of "Grand Opening Ceremonies" when requested.

Special Events Committee - oversees the production of our special, large events. Annual events managed by this Committee include the Scholarship Golf Tournament and the Holiday Social. They also handle miscellaneous events that come up through the year that require forward planning and organization.

Scholarship & Awards Committee - Handle the distribution of applications and selection of our annual scholarship awards winners. The last several years, we have awarded four scholarships. This Committee also handles the process and selection of the "Business Person of the Year" awarded in December.
