On this and the following pages we hope to give you some valuable information about Fluvanna, named for Queen Anne's River.  While Fluvanna is one of the fastest growing counties in Virginia, it still manages to maintain a beautifull rural surrounding.  If you are not lucky enough to live her, please visit and come back often as you like.  We are certain you will be plesantly surprised with our area, our history and most importantly, the hospitality of our citizens.

Fluvanna has a rich history and the area consistently ranks at the top of "Best Places To Live In America."  Like most counties we are struggling with today's economic downturn, but we have chosen to start construction on our new sixty-five million dollar high school to be completed in April 2011.  We have newly elected representatives on our Board of Supervisors, Board of Education and Chamber of Commerce Board who are dedicated to maintaining our rural way of life, yet still placing us in a position to compete nationally and globally in the market place for new jobs and economic growth.
