Purpose

The Fluvanna County Planning Commission consists of six citizens who are appointed to four year terms by the Board of Supervisors.

This commission holds public hearings on all Rezoning requests and Special Use Permit requests and makes recommendations for their approval or denial to the Board of Supervisors. This commission also makes recommendations on land use policy issues through the Comprehensive Plan, and Subdivision and Zoning Ordinances. This commission also handles administrative matters such as the approval of preliminary site and subdivision plans.
